It all begins with inspiration.

A first-generation Mexican-American kid who grew up in the SF Bay Area. That’s how it all started.

Surrounded by a world of art, culture, and music, inspiration was everywhere growing up. From waking up to my mom playing Vicente Fernandez every morning, to my neighbors listening to E-40 on the radio super loud. I was born into a melting pot of mixed-cultures. The hard part was figuring out who I was supposed to become.

Growing up in a Mexican household, I was always fascinated by American culture as I was the first in my family to experience it completely. I would gain new knowledge and then bring it home to the entire family. This is when Hip-Hop comes in - My parents hated it.

From the clothes I wore to the music I listened to, they didn’t like it. They didn’t like it because it was out of their norm & “different” - and thats exactly why I did like it. American pop culture has always been about being different. Nevertheless I’ve always embraced my hispanic culture.

That’s exactly what gave me the advantage. I always knew I wanted to be in the entertainment industry somehow, someway… and after picking up the camera along the way to do vlogs & youtube reviews, I fell in love with Cinema.

Now to present day, I’m one of most recognized music video directors in the Regional Mexican industry, although I love to work with all genres. I’ve taken my versatility & adaptability to innovate the culture and I continue to learn, grow, and be inspired everyday to further continue with whatever it is that I have started.

I have come together with a great team of latino filmmakers to start our own entertainment platform, EL BARRIO, which now consists of a podcast, music distribution, record deals, and a kick-ass production team. So go ahead, search us up & follow our journey through our various avenues. We’re always working.
